Pici x Napoli Matfia

Pasta joint Pici is marking its 10th anniversary with a collaboration with the series one winner of Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars, Kwon Sung-jun, aka Napoli Matfia. The South Korean chef will be at Pici Central on June 26 and 27 but if you can’t make it, no worries – the featured dishes will be available in all Pici locations throughout July. They include: tagliolini Sicilian prawn tartare e bottarga, a take on aglio olio e peperoncino; Pici white poultry ragu with truffle; ravioli galbi-jjim, a Korean-Italian fusion featuring braised short ribs with a sweet-savoury kick; and a chestnut tiramisu that was made by Kwon on Culinary Class Wars.

Bacha Coffee

Bacha Coffee’s brews have garnered quite a following, perhaps swayed by the Moroccan coffee house’s beans. All Arabica variants, these are slow-roasted in small batches using traditional drum methods to preserve their distinct aromatic profile. Now, Bacha has unveiled a Coffee Trails Taster package, a six-cup journey through Ethiopia, Brazil and Guatemala for the coffee connoisseur. If you prefer to savour a cuppa in its cafes, drop by the Harbour City Coffee Room, and enjoy its majestic views of Victoria Harbour. And if you need a last-minute treat for dad, there’s also a special Father’s Day menu featuring Aussie beef short ribs and pastries.

Gold by Serakai Studio

The new kid on Hong Kong’s art block, Gold by Serakai Studio, has put together its second showing, “dreamedcore”. The art exhibition-concept store-runway show hybrid is divided into two chapters: nostalgia and an imagined past. The showcase draws from the 1990s and early 2000s, eras that deeply resonate with millennial and Gen Z crowds. The ambitious exhibition features 22 emerging multidisciplinary artists and creative practitioners from across Asia.

Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races

This year marks the 50th round of the Sun Life Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races, which are returning to Victoria Harbour on June 27 and 28. Come cheer for your favourite teams or just soak up the vibes at this annual tradition. View the races live from the Kowloon Shangri-La, along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade to the Bruce Lee statue on the Avenue of Stars. Shaded seating is provided and admission is our favourite price – free. If the crowds there prove too much, you can retreat to the broadcast-viewing zones at the Avenue of Stars, near Starbucks, or Salisbury Garden, which will show all the golden jubilee action on big screens.
