In addition, 3 Hong Kong has partnered with GASH, a leading Asian digital entertainment payment platform, to launch a co-branded game point card in July. This will allow Hong Kong gamers to enjoy an attractive promotional offer to access a massive resource of games and digital content and get special edition game items via a co-branded card.

Unprecedented network experience
As the telecoms world is moving towards the 5G and IoT era, 3 Hong Kong is actively preparing for network architecture planning necessary for 5G technology delopyment. In addition to using CA technology with 5CC, we have conducted research and carried out trials for various technologies, such as small cell installations, network cloudification with technologies such as CloudEdge, CloudRAN and CloudAIR, network function virtualisation and Massive MIMO towards the 5G era. These efforts will enable the timely launch of services to meet market demand as soon as the 5G standard and Hong Kong’s spectrum plans are confirmed.

Besides its advanced mobile network, 3 Hong Kong is one of the largest commercial Wi-Fi service providers with over 25,000+ Wi-Fi hotspots in Hong Kong.

As a leader of data services, 3 Hong Kong tailored various data service packages to suit the needs of customers, such as data packs for WhatsApp and Line and a “Night Fever” unlimited data pack which enables customers to use data service freely through the night – all to provide a hassle-free experience for social media users and nocturnal dramas fans.

Recently, 3 Hong Kong launched a groundbreaking flexible “cross-month top-up data” service to enable customers to subscribe extra local data package to be used in a period of three months to one year, providing customers a peace of mind.
