The Barangaroo South precinct along Sydney Harbour

Situated on the doorstep of Asia, Sydney has become a renowned regional hub for multinationals, offering world-class infrastructure, industry diversity, a highly skilled multilingual workforce and a stable political environment.

On the western edge of Sydney's iconic harbour stands Barangaroo, a 22-hectare site that is being developed by the New South Wales Government in partnership with Lendlease. More than 50 per cent of the site is public space, and the southern end, Barangaroo South, will encompass office, retail and residential space, with a landmark hotel by Crown Resorts, apartments designed by world-renowned architect Renzo Piano, and leisure facilities. It will be a natural extension to Sydney's central business district with its vast transport connections, and aspires to become Australia's first large-scale, carbon-neutral community.

At the heart of Barangaroo South are three iconic high-rise buildings that form International Towers Sydney (ITS). ITS showcases an intelligent, future-proof workplace design while setting new standards in sustainability, with all three towers on track to receiving the highest Green Star office rating.

"We're creating the best place to work, live and play in one of the most liveable cities in the world," says Andrew Wilson, Lendlease's managing director of Barangaroo South. "We are receiving global enquiries from big names as well as new entrants who are attracted to the latest thinking in workplace design and sustainability at ITS. They want sustainable, efficient and flexible workplace environments for their employees." ITS has been benchmarked against the best office developments in New York, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai, and is being heralded as Sydney's future financial and business district.

So far, it has attracted leading firms including HSBC, PwC, KPMG, Marsh, Westpac Group and Gilbert & Tobin.

"ITS is the new corporate centre for Asia-Pacific," Wilson says. "It is for forward-thinking organisations looking for a flexible and sustainable work environment."
