Cyberport, as Hong Kong's digital technology hub, AI accelerator, and start-up incubator, is set to unveil Cyberport 5, strategically located adjacent to Hong Kong’s largest AI supercomputing centre. By providing expanded space for research, innovation and demonstration of solutions, Cyberport 5 will bolster key I&T sectors, including smart city, FinTech, low-altitude economy, culture, sports and tourism, as well as driving the growth of strategic emerging industries.
Cyberport 5 sits on the edge of the revitalised waterfront park.
Designated as a “State-level Scientific and Technological Enterprise Incubator,” Cyberport hosts over 2,200 I&T ventures, focuses on specialised I&T fields such as AI, data science, blockchain, and cybersecurity to drive intelligent upgrading across industries. In the past year, 27 listed companies, unicorns, and soonicorns have set up operations at Cyberport, joining the more than 440 companies that have moved into the campus. To date, it has nurtured 11 listed companies and 10 unicorns. Its community companies have collectively raised over HK$46.2 billion, expanded into more than 35 markets across the Mainland and overseas, received upwards of 1,750 industry awards, and secured placements in over 280 global accelerator programmes.
The forthcoming Cyberport 5 structure will rise ten storeys along the northwest edge of the revitalised waterfront park, encompassing 66,000 square metres across 1.6 hectares of prime sea-view real estate. Located beside the new AI supercomputing centre and home to the Hong Kong Internet Exchange, Cyberport 5 features a Tier III+ sustainable data centre on every floor, dual-path single-mode dark fibre risers for near-unlimited bandwidth, multi-cloud on-ramps, and 10 Gbps broadband to support the most demanding AI, blockchain, and IoT workloads.

Flexible workspaces covering 36,000 square metres enable agile reconfiguration as research demands evolve. Sky-bridges link to the wider campus, while breakout zones, outdoor terraces, and a waterfront promenade encourage cross-disciplinary dialogue. A multifunction hall accommodating up to 800 attendees, equipped with automated AV and live broadcasting capabilities, anchors the building’s ground-level programming.
“Cyberport 5 offers more extensive and vibrant spaces for technology enterprises, enabling Hong Kong to foster new productive forces and drive the development of strategic emerging industries, it will reinforce Hong Kong’s position as a global hub for innovation and technology,” said Simon Chan, Chairman of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Ltd.
Cyberport 5 has secured both WiredScore and SmartScore Platinum certifications.
The new phase has set a new benchmark in digitally powered and sustainable infrastructure by securing both WiredScore and SmartScore Platinum certifications. With these two ceritifications, Cyberport 5 is designed to be best-in-class across the connectivity features that matter most to occupiers: the number and quality of Internet service providers; the diversity and resilience of telecommunications and power infrastructure; the wireless network infrastructure; ease of installation and the capacity to readily support new telecommunications services. It also demonstrates cutting-edge innovation through market-leading technology, processes, and automation to deliver world-class outcomes for all building users, while creating a more efficient, inspirational, sustainable, and resilient building. Fewer than a dozen buildings in Hong Kong—and under 2 percent worldwide—hold this Double Platinum status, solidifying Cyberport 5’s place among the elite of future-ready properties.

At the heart of Cyberport 5’s connectivity offering is a thoughtfully engineered infrastructure designed to streamline and safeguard telecommunications services. Secure access to risers on each floor prevents unauthorised entry while accelerating the installation of connectivity solutions. Ample riser capacity enables swift deployment of new services, while dedicated horizontal pathways to individual tenant spaces minimise disruption during upgrades. Purpose-built cable pathways ensure best practices are followed in every installation, and a dedicated fibre backbone simplifies and strengthens telecommunications performance. Complementing this physical infrastructure are the high-speed Wi-Fi 7 coverage throughout the building and comprehensive 5G mobile network with 10G fibre-to-office broadband that offer seamless mobile and internet access for all users.
Beyond connectivity, Cyberport 5 exemplifies operational excellence through its SmartScore Platinum status—an accolade that reflects its commitment to intelligent building management and user-centric innovation. The integration of market-leading technologies, automation, and predictive analytics transforms everyday operations into proactive, cost-efficient processes. For example, the Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD) system identifies and mitigates potential issues before they escalate, reducing maintenance costs and downtime. Advanced algorithms further enhance reliability by forecasting equipment failures, allowing for timely interventions.

Safety and security are equally prioritised. Real-time monitoring of occupancy and space utilisation ensures that tenants’ wellbeing is continuously safeguarded, while the building’s adaptive design responds dynamically to changing demands. Sustainability is embedded into every layer of Cyberport 5’s operations. Tenants benefit from detailed insights into their energy consumption through advanced analytics, sub-metering, and water metering systems. Comprehensive waste and recycling reporting supports a circular economy approach.
As a future-ready ecosystem for tech innovators, financial institutions, and multinational corporations, Cyberport’s expanded infrastructure and AI supercomputing capabilities are poised to sharpen Hong Kong’s competitive edge in the global I&T arena.
