Get on board with the monogram trend in Burberry’s first-ever Monogram collection that debuted recently with a campaign fronted by supermodel Gigi Hadid.
Interlocking TB
The cool interlocking TB lettering and throwback-but-new monogram print is the brainchild of Burberry chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci who discovered a selection of 20th-century Thomas Burberry logo motifs in the house’s archive. Together with the British art director and graphic designer Peter Saville, they came up with the contemporary interpretation of the Burberry’s name and heritage unveiled in August 2018.

The new TB monogram print has just been unleashed in the hot off-the-rack Monogram collection that looks equally chic on any fashionista who fancies dressing like a boy, a girl, a lady or a gentleman, the four distinct characters celebrated by the storied British brand.
And no one does it better than the chameleon-like Gigi Hadid, who morphed effortlessly from one to the other in the campaign, proving her modelling prowess. She dresses as a boy in a hoodie and baseball cap, and a gentleman in a nylon car coat and beanie. As a girl, she sizzles in an oversized T-shirt and silk trousers, while the lady she portrays looks classy in a nylon car coat, silk shirt and A-line skirt.

These latest offerings come with the new signature TB code in Burberry’s tonal shades of beige and brown adorned with a distinctive Monogram stripe in red, white and black. The full collection also includes cotton-piqué polo shirts, track pants, nylon bomber jackets, a silk chignon, a cashmere football scarf, a bikini, sunglasses and a non-slip Monogram-motif yoga mat created in collaboration with Liforme.
