Eco-warriors can look super street smart this season in #EmporioArmani’s new “upcycled” capsule collection for both men and women.
The R-EA collection features the message “I’M SAYING YES TO RECYCLING” on most garments.
Get your message across
In these eco-woke times, wear your eco credentials on your clothes and spread the sustainable fashion message far and wide when you go out and about.
Many of the pieces from the R-EA (Recycled Emporio Armani) collection comes emblazoned with the bold writing “I’M SAYING YES TO RECYCLING”, helping you amplify the call to embrace “upcycled” wear.
Green your wardrobe with eco-friendly fabrics
The R-EA collection ticks all the green boxes with the use of regenerated wool and organic cotton.
Wrap up against the cold in “zero kilometre” wool poncho, cargo trousers, moon boots, gloves and padded shopper bag.
The “zero kilometre” wool comes from the textile region of Prato in Italy and is recycled from local pre-consumer textile waste and scraps, while the organic cotton is grown with a low environmental impact. Even the nylon and polyester fibres come from pre- and post-consumer waste, such as fishing nets and plastic bottles that have been recovered and recycled. Adding a soft feel to the fabrics is the biodegradable fibre Modal whose preparation process entails significant water and energy savings. The materials, as well as the R-EA finishes, are all certified according to the most relevant international standards, and full transparency and traceability throughout the entire textile production chain are guaranteed for the products.

And in keeping with its environmentally responsible ethos, the collection comes in certified and sustainable packaging, produced using compostable materials.
Go eco-chic on your urban adventures
Lest you think eco-fashion is just about sustainable fabrics, the R-EA collection will give you plenty of street cred. Inspired by workwear, but incorporating the brand’s icons, it comes in an almost exclusively black colour palette with contrasting details and the R-EA logo in ecru.
Go full-on R-EA in zipped jumper, cargo pants, moon boots, gloves and beanie.
For men, take on a skater attitude with a sporty style and oversized volume. Think parkas, windbreakers, blousons, zipped jumpers, cargo trousers and dungarees paired with moon boots with contrasting soles. Add balaclavas, padded beanies and gloves, along with backpacks and large shopper bags to pile on the cool.
Exude feminine flair while getting the sustainable fashion message across in a short, flared dress worn with double-breasted coat and boots.
Women would look current and snazzy in practical but feminine super-cropped shorts and skirts paired with padded coats, long and thin trenches, cropped double-breasted jackets and jumpers. Complete the look with logo-detail hats, boots and padded nylon bags.
Extend the eco theme with a pair of bold sunglasses with a matt black frame in regenerated plastic and lenses partly made of bio-based material. And while it might not be a smartwatch, the new R-EA timepiece, produced using sustainable materials, comes with a matt black strap and face marked with a “RECYCLED” signature. Wear them and help elevate the eco movement.
Get your R-EA wardrobe at Emporio Armani Chater House in Central, Pacific Place in Admiralty, Sogo in Causeway Bay, and Canton Road/Elements in Tsim Sha Tsui or shop online at armani.com.
