Macau has once again been lit up by Galaxy Macau™ this summer with an unprecedented series of performances that reinforced the city’s reputation as the “City of Performing Arts”.
Over the span of just a few weeks, the integrated resort welcomed more than 100,000 spectators to its premier entertainment venues, with performances by Cantopop legend Jacky Cheung, international comedy sensation Jimmy O. Yang and the sizzling Australian troupe Thunder from Down Under.
Presented by Galaxy Macau, these blockbuster shows have infused the city with vibrant energy, drawing tourists and locals alike for nights of music, laughter and spectacle.

O. Yang’s comedic genius lies in his ability to turn cultural clashes, immigrant experiences and personal anecdotes into punchlines that resonate across demographics.
What made his Macau shows special, however, was his bespoke approach.
He peppered his routines with local references, Macanese wordplay and cultural observations tailored for the audience, drawing howls of laughter and standing ovations from the 13,000 fans who packed the theatre across the three days.
For many in attendance, O. Yang’s shows reflected modern identity, delivered with wit and relatability. The energy was electric, with laughter flowing as freely as the applause.
Adding to the high-octane entertainment line-up was the Australian male revue, Thunder from Down Under, which brought ten sizzling performances to the G Box immersive stage between June 27 and July 5.
Known for their athletic dance moves, charismatic stage presence and cheeky humour, the group added a spicy edge to the summer series.
While what Cheung and O. Yang offered are music and comedy, Thunder from Down Under brought the wow factor that appealed to a different demographic and reinforcing Galaxy Macau’s commitment to diverse entertainment programming.

The resort further features the 75,000-square-metre Grand Resort Deck, a shopping promenade with over 200 brands, 120+ dining options and entertainment offerings including the Galaxy Cinemas and CHINA ROUGE lounge.
Galaxy Arena, Broadway Theatre and the intimate G-Box as state-of-the-art venues blend cutting-edge technology, refined design and professional service, making Galaxy Macau a premier destination for international performers and audiences.
This convergence of music, comedy and immersive experiences is turning Macau into a year-round cultural and entertainment hub.
