Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open 2017 (“PHKTO”), one of the most popular WTA International Series Events, will return to Victoria Park Tennis Stadium from 7 - 15 October 2017. Apart from the superb player's line-up this year, the organizer has specially created unique activities at the Tournament Village, conveniently located next to the Centre Court. This year’s village is centred around the theme of ‘Classic Hong Kong’ offering traditional local treats as well as a wide range of international F&B options. There will be a variety of interactive games as well as a Kids Zone, player autograph sessions, and live matches broadcast on the giant screen, offering something for diehard tennis fans, families and those just looking for a fun day out with friends.

The iconic Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open will feature 5 of the world’s top 20 players, including World No. 5 Venus Williams, World No. 6 Caroline Wozniacki, World No. 13 Agnieszka Radwanska, recently announced US Open Champion and World No. 17 Sloane Stephens, and World No.19 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. Fan favourite Eugenie Bouchard will also be competing in this year’s tournament.

With only a limited number of tickets remaining, fans are encouraged to buy tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Tickets can be purchased at Cityline and Tom Lee Music outlets, through the Cityline Booking Hotline +852 2111 5333 and online at www.cityline.com.

The new-look Tournament Village will be open for public from 8 - 15 October 2017. It will feature even more activities and entertainment options for fans of all ages. Organizer has lined up various partners to incorporate family fun and local nostalgic elements, including Mini Tennis Court, DIY LOVE Tee Booth, NEC Drone Race, Nissin “My Cup Noodles Factory”, Nostalgic Hong Kong-themed Victoria Park Store and Prudential Booth for locals and tourists to enjoy a one-of-a-kind tennis sports experience.

One of this year’s attractions not to be missed will be the ‘Love Tee’ booth where visitors can customise T-shirts using their own photos with a mobile app. All proceeds will be donated to HKTA’s programme to offer free tennis training to under-resourced kids with special educational needs. To support this worthy cause, T-shirts can also be ordered online at https://snaptee.co/p/phkto
PHKTO also announced details of its enhanced community and entertainment programmes for 2017, part of the HKSAR’s 20th Anniversary celebrations. The PHKTO Fan Zone, ‘Lee Gardens Street Tennis’, will be back for the second year, located in the busy Causeway Bay shopping district and featuring interactive games and a live broadcast of the matches on 14-15 October. ‘Student’s Day’ and ‘Kid’s Day’ will be returning, as will ‘People’s Monday’ on 9 October with free entry for all matches.
