[Sponsored Article] Three stories – one mindset Three iconic friends of RIMOWA share their intimate views on life on the go in three impactful films, revealing how constant challenge drives them toward success. Though Kim Jones, fashion designer and artistic director of Dior Men’s; LeBron James, basketball legend; and Yuja Wang, Chinese pianist prodigy come from different walks of life, they are masters of their fields and share a collective mindset. Their core belief is that mastery is a never-ending journey and that no one builds a legacy by standing still – the same ethos RIMOWA expressed in its previous global campaign. Kim Jones finds inspiration in Tokyo and India Tokyo and the jungles of India are two of Kim Jones’s favourite places that fuel his imagination. Dynamic Swiss director duo Jonas and Julien follow him as he travels there, capturing the way he sees them and how he weaves inspiration from these locations into his work. Out of his comfort zone Jones likes to venture into the unfamiliar, never standing still and always travelling around the world. “I think, if you don’t go into the unfamiliar, you never feel uncomfortable. And if you don’t feel uncomfortable, you can’t challenge yourself,” he says. “Everything I see has some form of inspiration. So you’re taking things and then twisting them into something. And that’s how I work. If inspiration can come from anywhere, then I want to go everywhere.” Filmed against a backdrop of vivid scenes and rich textures from rural landscapes to dense urban locales, Jones gives viewers a glimpse into his creative process. Everything he sees and does are part of the philosophy of his designs. And the luggage that keeps him company on the road? None other than a cool looking and super functional RIMOWA. Check out the Kim Jones film and stay tuned for the next two featuring LeBron James and Yuja Wang. See how they aim high to achieve their breakthroughs on their purposeful journeys in the ‘Never Still’ campaign created by RIMOWA in partnership with Anomaly in Berlin.
