Soho House Hong Kong marked its sixth anniversary with a bang, welcoming members and guests from September 19 to 21 for a three-day celebration fusing high-energy festivities, culinary crossovers, and thought-provoking conversations that delivered a weekend crescendo of culture, cuisine, and creative futures.

The anniversary weekend wasn’t just a party—it was a statement. With the launch of Soho Connects Asia, a new talks series making its Hong Kong debut, the House positioned itself as more than a social hub: it’s a platform for cultural exchange, innovation, and community building across the region.

A Living Showcase of Hong Kong’s Creative Pulse
The festivities kicked off on Friday with a large member mixer in collaboration with A80 Paris offering complimentary blow dry to all members, and One Night Only: MMKitchen x Flakes & Layers by Amanda S, a five-course dinner at the Pool Room curated by private chef Marissa Lau and model-turned-chef Amanda Strang. The intimate chef’s table experience paired signature dishes with wine and conversation, setting the tone for a weekend that would celebrate both artistry and authenticity.

Later that night, a brand-new immersive theatre party took over the Yellow & Blue Room, drawing members and guests into a dancefloor charged with eclectic beats and club-ready energy.

Saturday morning shifted gears with Soho Connects Asia, a members-only talks series exploring the future of culture through architecture, art, film, design, and technology. Simon Yu of Zaha Hadid Architects opened with a breakfast panel on urbanism and data-driven design, followed by a deep dive into the regional art ecosystem with leaders from Art Basel Hong Kong, Frieze, David Zwirner, and Yuz Museum.

The afternoon sessions tackled timely topics: LGBTQ+ storytelling in cinema, the ethics and potential of creative AI, and the evolving role of heritage in Asian design. A standout panel featured DESIGN TRUST’s Marisa Yiu, Seoul-based designer Teo Yang, and Marc Cansier of Marc & Chantal, reflecting on Tai Kwun’s transformation and the civic power of design.

From Dim Sum to Dance Floors
Saturday evening opened up to a wider audience with Dim Sum Drink Sum, a culinary collaboration with House of Orient. Guests enjoyed classic dim sum techniques paired with modern cocktails curated by Tommy Wong of CMYK and Hope & Sesame Group.
The night continued with Soho Presents: Onra, a live set by the Paris-based producer known for his genre-blending Chinoiseries series. His performance at House Studio bridged East and West through beat-driven storytelling. The energy peaked with a first-floor takeover by Yeti Out, whose genre-defying sets brought together EUROHEAD, swedm®, Arthur Yeti, and friends for a dance party that pulsed with cross-cultural rhythm.

Sunday: Brunch, Beats, and Breakthroughs
Sunday’s Flagrant Hot Sauce Seafood Palace pop-up brought long-brunch vibes to the Pool Room, with a seafood-led menu co-created by Michelin-starred chef Matt Abergel (Yardbird, Always Joy) and Soho House Executive Chef Krzysztof Czerwinski. DJs bb lamb and Dan Da Da kept the mood buoyant with sun-soaked sets.

The weekend culminated in the Soho House Mentorship Finale, a collaboration with OWN Academy. Fourteen emerging creatives presented capstone projects developed through weeks of mentorship with Soho House members. From short films and cookbooks to interactive installations, the showcase offered a tangible glimpse into the next generation of Hong Kong’s creative community.

Shaping the City’s Skyline and Scene

By blending culinary excellence, music, and meaningful dialogue, the House reaffirmed its role as a cultural catalyst in Hong Kong and beyond. With Soho Connects Asia now part of its programming, the club is poised to deepen its impact across the region, with the manifesto of community lead activities at its core.

As the final beats faded and the last dim sum was savoured, one thing was clear: Soho House Hong Kong is not only celebrating six strong years—it’s also shaping the next chapter of cultural life in the city.
