Globalization, technology, and social media have all transformed consumer behavior. In 2017, the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, launched STYLE Bangkok, an international consumer goods trade fair that offers all sorts of lifestyle products. The event held is the largest of its kind in terms of exhibition area size, responding to the changing consumer lifestyles. The fair is a combination of three international trade fairs, namely Bangkok International Fashion Fair and Bangkok International Leather Fair (BIFF & BIL), Bangkok International Gifts and Bangkok International Houseware Fair (BIG + BIH), and Thailand International Furniture Fair (TIFF) – a result of cooperation of an alliance of more than 24 organizations, both in the public and private sectors.

The fair’s total sales amounted to THB 2,400 Millions.

The next edition of STYLE Bangkok is scheduled to take place from 17-21 October 2018 (trade days from 17-19 October, 10.00-18.00 hours and public days for visitors from 10.00-21.00 hours) at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC), Bangkok. For this event, the DITP re-emphasizes the concept of “Crenovative Origin: Local Wisdom, Stylish Creativity,” focusing on creative designs, state-of-the-art innovation, and original lifestyle products.

“Given the success of previous events, STYLE Bangkok has showcased its potential as the region’s lifestyle hub. The event has the largest number of lifestyle products on offer, from fashion items, leather products, gifts, to houseware and furniture. As a result, this fair is like no other. Visitors can experience the trends of products from several categories. We are living in a world where everything is interconnected. The trends of one product category can easily influence the others. STYLE Bangkok is the only event in Asia that offers full spectrum of lifestyle ideas.”

“A new change in the forthcoming STYLE Bangkok event in October 2018 is the selection of qualified exhibitors, both Thai and foreign, to attract traders and visitors from across the globe. In addition, the DITP will focus on businesses related to lifestyle products, such as hotels, real estate, as well architects and interior designers, to expand both buyer and visitor bases,” said Mrs. Chantira Jimreivat Vivatrat, DITP Director-General.
