Tod’s latest campaign celebrates elegant Italian lifestyle

In Italy, people say “ciao” everyday, everywhere, to express “hello” and “goodbye”, creating a friendly vibe in a second.  This world-known Italian greeting and casual gesture also inspired the new campaign of Italian luxury leather shoes and bags maker Tod’s.

Taking the Italian simple gesture as the theme, Tod’s new campaign, Ciao, features joyful images of elegantly dressed characters with charming smiles, carrying some of the highlighted accessories and footwear, such as Double T shopping bag and Moccasin loafers, and ready-to-wear pieces from the brand’s fall/winter 18 women’s and men’s collections.  

Warm and natural feeling of FW18 collections

Taken by renowned British fashion photographer Craig McDean whose works have appeared in fashion magazines such as i-D, The Face and Vogue, these campaign visuals, as well as the cheerful behind-the-scene video, tell a story of the impeccable and timeless Italian style in every detail, and reflect the natural tone and warmth of the fall/winter 18 collections.

A brand with quality and handcrafted heritage

Established by president and CEO Diego Della Valle who turned his family’s shoemaking business into an international luxury lifestyle brand, Tod’s is renowned for its craftmanship and high-quality leather. Every leather shoe and bag, including the pieces featured in the Ciao campaign, is all handmade by the skilful artisans at Tod’s headquarter in Marche region of Italy.

Timeless style with contemporary design

The new Double T shopping bag in hammered leather and crossbody bag in smooth leather, from the new women’s collection and heavily featured in the new campaign, are traditionally crafted but designed with a contemporary touch. With an iconic Double T metal  accessory and a Double T leather-covered metal buckle on the front side of the bag respectively, these bags are feminine yet stylish.

The campaign also features key footwear and bags from the men’s collection that are unquestionably the staples in a gentleman’s wardrobe.

The Moccasin loafers, in soft leather and with the iconic Double T metal clamp, are classy and sophisticated, matching effortlessly with the Travel bag in smooth leather and iconic rubber pebbles on the bottom; ankle boots in suede, with stamped Tod’s monogram and rubber outsole, are neat and smart; the sneakers in leather and scuba-effect fabric, featuring the iconic rubber pebbles near the heel and outsole, are good for all occasions.
