Precious menus and royal decor at Jade Garden in Kowloon
- Enjoy signatures like drunken flaming prawns and crispy marinated soy chicken in private rooms with premium teas
When Jade Garden opened in 1971, it was the first Chinese restaurant to offer Western-style service in the city. Last year the restaurant reopened after extensive renovations, and the new design takes inspiration from the ubiquitous bamboo steamers used to cook dim sum. Other features include a history wall at the entrance and ceiling lights that meander to resemble the Pearl River.
The menu is extensive, with signatures such as drunken flaming prawns, crispy marinated soy chicken, roast goose and honey-glazed barbecue Angus beef. The VIP room and private rooms offer a selection of premium teas and a sommelier helps to pair them with dishes.
