Demand and interest for overseas educations have been on the rise, as evidenced by the increasing number of Hong Kong students attending boarding schools, summer schools, and one-year exchange programs.

The Summer and Boarding School Expo will be held on November 11 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at the Excelsior Hotel in Causeway Bay. The Expo will comprise of representatives from the SSAT Organization and an elite group of 18 boarding schools from across the USA, Switzerland, Albania, Thailand and India.

The boarding schools bring together a vast array of locations, facilities, programs, together with a mixture of educational philosophies and cultures. They offer sought-after and unique academic programs covering arts, robotics, science, IB, AP, and ESOL, and competitive sports for students to broaden their experience and enhance their knowledge. A selected number of schools are religious or single sex, catering to students’ different needs.

Admissions Representatives from the institutions will hold one-on-one discussions with students who wish to pursue an overseas education. They will provide first-hand information on a multitude of programs at their safe and well-supervised campuses to local parents, students and counselors.

We are also pleased to present the world’s foremost expert on boarding schools, John Williamson, who will be available to speak with families. The Founder and CEO of Linden Education, he has traveled extensively and has an impressive track record assisting families place their children at the most desirable boarding schools around the world. Attendees of the event will have free and unrestricted access to Mr. Williamson and his advice during and after the event.

In addition, Debbie Hung, CEO of Ace Academy and alumna of Exeter and Wharton, will be sharing her experience. For the past 20 years, she helped coordinate admissions activities and interviews for Exeter. She is the former Chair of the Penn Admissions Interview Program for Hong Kong and South China for over 30 years.
