2017 marks the golden jubilee of the re-establishment of Lingnan University in Hong Kong. Every Lingnanian is looking forward to having a grand celebration.

In September 1967, under the dedicated and relentless efforts of a group of enthusiastic alumni, Lingnan College in Hong Kong came into being. Inherited with distinguished historical and cultural traditions, the College was a tale of courage and our source of pride.

With a humble beginning, Lingnan College has grown to maturity through the many trials and tribulations in half a century. Today, Lingnan University is the premier liberal arts university in Hong Kong and one of the top ten liberal arts institutions in Asia.

On this auspicious occasion, it is an opportune time for us to pay tributes to our founders and generations of teachers, alumni and students who have left their distinguished marks and achievements. At the same time, we should also focus on the future and plan the University’s development based on the needs of the new century and the sublime spirit of our University motto “Education for Service”.
