The retail giant’s new digital-first rewards club is poised to become the most powerful rewards app in Hong Kong, while also marking the first time it connects all its brands under a digital platform.

In a first for the Dairy Farm Group, its sprawling business together with coalition partner Jardine Restaurant Group, that comprise over ten household brands encompassing over 2,000 outlets are now digitally connected at a tap of a smartphone screen thanks to yuu.

Think supermarkets (Wellcome, Market Place, 3hree6ixty and Oliver’s), convenience stores (7-Eleven), health and beauty stores (Mannings), home furnishing stores (IKEA) and restaurants (KFC, Pizza Hut and PHD).  The Group has got Hongkongers covered on a daily basis when it comes to meeting their everyday needs.

So, the new app, launched on 30 July, is a much welcome move for both digital natives and the less tech-savvy customers to see their earned points and redeem rewards instantly. And to breathe a sigh of relief that they can ditch their physical rewards cards. The eagle-eyed would probably have spotted some of the Group’s delivery trucks decked out in the new yuu livery roaming around town, and Jardine House in Central lit up to celebrate one of the biggest retail brand launches in the past two decades.

Another beauty of the yuu app is its complete transparency with a straightforward “1 to 1” earn rate, meaning customers can earn at least 1 yuu point per HK$1 spent. The more you spend, the more points you earn, with the points balance immediately updated upon purchase, thanks to MuleSoft's integration software for connecting applications and devices, in turn making the app an exceedingly attractive digital card.  All points earned on yuu are valid for three years.

The yuu rewards app will send new offers and content, across all participating brands, to you every day, ranging from new items, cash coupons and daily essentials.

Special features and yuu Give Back

The app comes with two special features that help you to make the most of yuu. Need some extra points to use quickly? Send points freely with friends and family through the Share Points feature to accelerate the point accumulation process. Your new points balance is immediately reflected on the app.
