Students raise an incredible $300,000 at Vibe 2001 charity fashion show.
[First published on March 28, 2001] Hong Kong International School students raised $300,000 at their fifth annual charity fashion show Vibe 2001 recently. Proceeds went to the Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association.
The show was entirely produced, directed and modelled by students. The students are members of the school's Inter nal Youth For Charity organisation.
Singer Andy Hui Chi-on and TVB stars Margaret Chung Lai-kei and Michael Tong Man-lung were special guests.
Vibe 2001 leader Jamie Lee said community service was part of the school ethos.
"We wanted to do something special to give back to people in need in Hong Kong," Jamie said.
