One of London's most scenic districts is opening up to investors and residents. The regeneration of Brentford in West London is creating a brand new neighborhood in an idyllic location, close to the Royal Botanic Gardens, boutique shopping at Kew Village and Chiswick and the headquarters of major businesses along the Golden Mile. Excellent rail and road links also put the rest of the UK capital within easy reach.

Part of the local government's Great West Corridor Plan, this multimillion-pound regeneration has been carefully planned to meet the demands of residents and attract visitors from elsewhere in the city, while respecting the local architecture and nature. Along with shops, cafes, restaurants and a dedicated event space, Brentford will be home to a world-class sport stadium and a new transport interchange with direct connections to the high-speed Crossrail and HS2 services.

With demand high for well-connected property in London, the regeneration will also provide more than 1,700 homes, more than half of these in the mixed-use Verdo Kew Bridge development by EcoWorld London. The number of renters in the borough is expected to increase by 40 percent over the next ten years, with research from Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) forecasting house price growth of 13 percent for West London by 2022 – higher than Central London and the Greater London average.

Prime business district

The local borough of Hounslow has the highest concentration of blue chip companies in London, making it an ideal base for business in the capital. Just over a mile from Kew Bridge, Brentford's 'Golden Mile' is home to more than 200 companies, with more at nearby Chiswick Business Park. These include the London headquarters of Sony, Ericsson, GlaxoSmithKline, The Walt Disney Company and more.

More than 200,000 jobs are available in the area, which has the highest concentration of media and broadcasting positions in the city. A further 14,000 jobs are expected to be created as the Great West Corridor develops and more skilled workers relocate to the up-and-coming area.

Convenient transport links make it even easier to do business in West London. Kew Bridge station can be accessed directly from the Brentford development, with Gunnersbury Underground station just a 10-minute walk for daily commutes and travel around London and the UK. Four airports are within an hour's drive, Heathrow being just 16 minutes away.

West London living

Brentford is one of London's most attractive spots, with accessible nature on the doorstep. The UNESCO World Heritage-listed Royal Botanic Gardens are just three minutes from Kew Bridge station or a pleasant stroll across the historic bridge through Kew Green.

Nearby Kew Village and Chiswick have the atmosphere of a village in the city, with plenty of cafes, riverside pubs and independent boutiques along their tree-lined streets. Brentford Market and other local markets operate every Sunday selling local produce, fresh food and drink, vintage clothing and sustainable arts and crafts.

Richmond is another nearby destination for upmarket retail therapy, and it's only a short Tube ride to the West End and Ealing Broadway for designer outlets and Michelin-starred restaurants. Local dining options will be expanded following the construction of a new stadium near Kew Bridge, serving residents and visitors alike. The presence of a major sports venue will also help to boost property prices in the area, according to JLL research.

For families with children, or students in higher education, West London puts you close to world-leading institutions specializing in many fields from finance, law and medicine to fashion and the arts. The University of West London's Brentford campus is just 1.5 miles from the development, with other leading universities and colleges just minutes away by road or rail. Kids are well catered for with several primary and secondary schools within a mile's radius being rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted.

A select number of apartments at Verdo Kew Bridge are now available for overseas property investors. As well as the prestige and convenience of the location, residents will also have access to lifestyle amenities including a residents' lounge, fitness center and private gardens.
