Oppo is introducing a Lite version of its recently launched Find X2, the company’s premium flagship that starts at about US$793. But the Lite version offers people a 5G-enabled phone for just 499 euros (US$540). The Find X2 Lite was launched in Portugal, where it will be available through the local MediaMarkt store.

There are several features that differentiate the Find X2 and the Find X2 Pro from the Lite version. Unlike the regular X2 phones that are gunning for the Samsung Galaxy S20 by offering a 120Hz display, the X2 Lite offers a more common 60Hz refresh rate. The regular X2 phones also sport Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 chip. The X2 Lite has the mid-range Snapdragon 765G. And while the regular Find X2 phones can use Oppo’s 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charger -- one of the fastest on the market -- the X2 Lite is stuck with the 30W VOOC 4.0 charger.

It’s also no surprise that the X2 Lite has a different camera array. The X2 Lite has a 48-megapixel main camera, an ultra-wide-angle 8-megapixel camera and two additional 2-megapixel cameras. While its siblings also have a 48-megapixel main camera, the Lite doesn’t get anything like the Pro’s 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera or its 13-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
