For the second time this year, Computex has announced it will postpone its yearly event due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Computex Taipei’s organizers, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taipei Computer Association (TCA), originally rescheduled the conference from June to September with plans for live-streamed product launches. But with many countries still under travel restrictions, the organizing team has given up on 2020 altogether. Computex will focus on next year’s event, set to take place on July 1-5, 2021.

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced most tech conferences this year to either postpone their events, bring them online or cancel them altogether. The long list of events includes Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference, Mobile World Congress and Google I/O. To keep the tech industry connected with Computex, the conference will still hold several events online this year. But unlike last year, you won’t have the chance to try out the newest gadgets.
