Cinema exhibition goes down memory lane down memory lane

THE Urban Council's 'Early Days of Hong Kong Cinema Exhibition' is on until April 22 at the City Hall Low Block Exhibition Hall.

Organised by the Hong Kong Film Archive to commemorate the centenary of cinema, the exhibition features precious stills and photographs, antique equipment, simulated props and sets, live performances as well as video programmes.

The exhibition is divided into four main thematic scenes: a film studio in the 1920s, a theatre foyer in the 1930s, a preview room of the war-time period and a general area on the post-war period.

Admissions to the exhibition is free. For details, refer to leaflets distributed at Urbtix outlets or call 2739-2139.
