Profits rise

CHINA Merchants' Shekou Port Service registered a 36 per cent growth in profit after taxation and minority interests to 104 million yuan (about HK$95.48 million) for last year under international accounting standards.

Turnover rose 31 per cent to 316 million yuan. Operating profit jumped 22 per cent to 86 million. Earnings per share were 0.41 yuan, up 20 per cent.
