AFTER years of financial setbacks, The Warehouse Project will finally get underway with a grand opening ceremony tomorrow featuring some top live music.

The alcohol-and drug-free event is aimed specifically at under 18s, but oldies are welcome also to witness the latest local sounds.

It all happens in the old police station in Aberdeen Main Road from midday until late. Admission is $20 after 8pm, when the main acts play.

Tonight: Freddie James and the Fusion Three celebrate their last show at JJ's, from 9.30pm.

Superlungs Terry Reid continues his marathon of gigs in the Jazz Club, from 9.30pm.

M Project will hold a percussion discussion in 'the park outside the Arts Centre'. Catch it from 9pm.

Walk On Water in the Fringe Club from 11pm.

Hooray Howard and the Henries play the Wanch from 10pm.

Tiger Tiger are ready to funk China Max from 10.30pm.

Tomorrow: Terry Reid in the Jazz Club 9.30pm.

American soul and funk band Hawkeye have taken up residence at JJ's once again, from 9.30pm.

Long Skinny John plays acoustically in the Wanch at 7pm before Mind Your Head take over at 10pm.

Headbangers' delight, the Rock Gang, play Amoeba from 10pm.

Sunday: The Victoria Jazz Band will liven Carnegies from 7pm.

Terry Reid in the Jazz Club from 9pm.

Monday: Dee Dee and Eugene Wilde at Quo quo from 8pm.

Tuesday: Tiger Tiger stimulate Le Bar Bat with funk and R&B from 10pm.

Wednesday: Jazz band Through Train at Le Bar Bat starting at 10pm.

The Godown features the New Orleans Jazz Quartet from 9.30pm.

Thursday: American cabaret act Broadway Express are back in town for their fifth season. Catch their first show at Faces from 9pm.

Psychedelic funkers Ube in Le Bar Bat from 10pm.
