SFS Group leads in engineered components and fastening systems

Customised precision-engineered components are manufactured using cold forming technology.

Electronics and vehicle manufacturers are constantly looking for the latest technological capabilities and solutions from suppliers. Customised precision and consistency are key demands, particularly in the engineered components and fastener solutions fields. Generating substantial customer benefits via innovation, technological expertise and complete engineering support, SFS Group offers unparalleled capabilities in the development and manufacturing of precision components and engineered fasteners.

"Whenever a consumer or industry trend is developing, we follow it closely," says Heinrich Spoerry, executive chairman and CEO. "Our precision components are embedded in the products and systems of our blue-chip customers, and manufactured for a specific application."

SFS uses cornerstone technologies such as cold forming and precision machining to produce engineered components and speciality fasteners which are sold under the SFS intec, Unisteel and GESIPA brands. SFS looks for applications that generate high volumes. By applying its core technologies and processes, the company achieves substantial value improvements and cost savings in comparison to alternative manufacturing technologies.

"We partner with global and local customers to develop new solutions and devices," Spoerry says. "We also focus on improving the total cost and performance of the application of our products."

With heightened fixed investments and the rise of manufacturing bases in Asia, SFS is enhancing its activities in the region, strengthening cooperations with leading Asian and Western consumer electronics makers and first-tier suppliers to the automotive industry. Augmenting its operations in Shanghai, Tianjin and Nansha, south of Guangzhou, SFS seeks to foster partnerships with its blue-chip customer base.

"Greater China will become the biggest single market worldwide in our industry, and we will focus on building a strong market position in our sector," Spoerry says.
