Wine: Brian Barry Juds Hill Vineyard Riesling Grape: Riesling Region: Clare Valley, South Australia Vintage: 1995 The Clare Valley lies 130 kilometres north of Adelaide. Many of the finest Rieslings in Australia come from this region. The Riesling grape seems to flourish in a climate characterised by dry hot days and cool nights.

  Brian Barry has had a distinguished career in the wine industry. Recently, Barry bought the Juds Hill Vineyard and started making wines under his own label. He has established a reputation for excellence.

  The 1995 handpicked Juds Hill Vineyard Riesling is deep straw in colour with green hues. The bouquet has strong aromas of citrus fruits and pineapples that follow through on to the palate. The ripe fruit flavours are complimented by crisp acidity and the finish is long.
