Wrong city

I refer to the wire service story headlined, 'Saudi strife exposes the need for change' (Business Post, March 27).

Contrary to what the report says, Jeddah is not the capital of Saudi Arabia. The city with that honour and seat of the royal family, is Riyadh.

Riyadh is almost at the geographical centre of the country. Back in the 1980s Jeddah was certainly the commercial centre of Saudi Arabia, and doubtless still is.
