Top chance for shutterbugs

Shutterbugs have a chance to win prizes at this year's Hong Kong Flower Show in Sha Tin.

Organised by the Provisional Regional and Urban councils, the event will be opened by the Chief Executive's wife Betty Tung on March 12.

The photography competition, co-organised by TVB, is open to people of all ages who visit the flower show between March 12 and 21.

Secondary schools with photographic societies are encouraged to participate in the school section.

Schools which have not received invitation letters but wish to take part in the competition can call 2695-3269.

Application forms are available from district offices of the Regional Services and the Urban Services departments, as well as Fotomax outlets. The deadline for all entries is April 9.

Winners will be awarded trophies, cameras and cash coupons.

Adjudication is on April 23, with the prize-presentation ceremony scheduled for May.
