Caring social workers who help more than 620 children have a better start in life by giving them special attention and assistance are getting some recognition of their own.
The Society of Boys' Centres has been highlighted as part of the Jockey Club's Act of Kindness campaign, which is also supported by the Post. Established 47 years ago, the society takes boys between eight and 18 who have difficult family circumstances and lets them study in three special schools and stay in two housing quarters.
