I read with great amusement Vincent Lau's letter (South China Morning Post, October 14) regarding legislator Margaret Ng.

 I just want to ask Mr Lau: Can a person with a People's Republic of China passport be a member of the United Kingdom parliament or can a person with a Taiwanese passport be a member of the United States Congress?  F Y WONG Pokfulam
