Unionists oppose speeding crackdown

Unionists urged the Government yesterday to reconsider plans to introduce tougher penalties for excessive speeding, saying the move would put pressures on frequent road users.

The Hong Kong & Kowloon Trades Union Council's traffic committee met the Assistant Commissioner for Transport, Thomas Thumb, to express their concerns yesterday.
