Hongkong Post Logistics is now offering integrated logistics solutions for private businesses.

 The company is offering a range of services such as the collection of goods from suppliers, warehousing and inventory management, and receiving customer orders electronically.

 Other services include packing goods, local and overseas delivery of goods, providing customers an option to collect goods at post offices and providing inventory and delivery status reports.

 'With the rapid development of e-commerce, the number of transactions over the Internet is expected to be skyrocketing,' assistant postmaster-general (business development) Kingsley Li King-kwong said.

 Mr Li said demand by e-commerce merchants for logistics support on fulfilling customer orders and delivering goods to customers would definitely soar.

 He said that the Hongkong Post Logistics service was designed to be a one-stop, cost-effective and flexible logistics solution.

 It could integrate with the supply chain of merchants in different kinds of businesses.

 With an extensive local and overseas delivery network and proven record of high-quality postal services, merchants and customers could be strongly confident of placing their goods and orders with Hongkong Post Logistics, he said.

 The new service would save e-commerce and direct-marketing merchants the hassle of planning or investing in logistics support, he said.
