Allan eyes Japan return

Hong Kong's hero horse, Fairy King Prawn, could be heading back to the scene of Sunday's triumph. Fairy King Prawn took Japan's $13 million Yasuda Kinen to become the first Hong Kong-trained horse to win overseas and at last night's Happy Valley meeting trainer Ivan Allan said there was another ideal race for him over there.

Allan's immediate post-race thoughts were to train Fairy King Prawn specifically for December's Hong Kong Mile. 'But you know there is another mile race in Tokyo which is worth the same as Sunday's and has the same conditions. It looks an ideal race as it is about a month before the Hong Kong Mile. It's a very real option for him,' added Allan, who came straight from the airport to watch his Success Magic take the night's final event.
