Bribe pair guilty

MTR works supervisor Wong Hok-shing, 34, was found guilty of taking bribes from a subcontractor responsible for repairing water leaks. Wong was convicted of soliciting an advantage and of accepting an advantage, while subcontractor Chan Ming-piu, 46, was convicted of two counts of offering an advantage. Chan had given $78,000 to Wong and paid for his expenses at a nightclub, the court heard. District Court Judge Derek Pang Wai-cheong will sentence the pair tomorrow.
