THE current democracy talks are obviously leading nowhere fast.

  As the democracy talks are about legislation which may benefit the populace why not hold a referendum on the matter? Do this before the procrastination damages the economy further.

  If a consensus is in agreement with the proposal, continue with the talks. If not, abandon the matter and get on with Hongkong's overriding concern, which is making money.
