Never judge an author by his book

Never let it be said that Hong Kong racing people are not a diverse or versatile bunch. This writer has recently found on the workbench a rather substantial tome, Z. Greenstreet Kan's Encyclopedia of Hong Kong Professional Horseracing 1971-1997, which details records of major races, trainers and jockeys, as well as names, owners and breeding of horses.

The 1,200-plus pages of reading might strike some as fairly dry, but the late Z. Greenstreet Kan himself doesn't give the same impression. Listed on the dustjacket, under 'books and other creative works' by the author, are Hong Kong's Annual Best Restaurant Guide, The Big O - 60 Roads To Orgydom, Eroctagon, Chinerotique and the multimedia VCD presentation of Making Love The French Way.
