Matsushita Electric Industrial, owner of the Panasonic brand, has filed a writ in the High Court seeking to stop a company from using its name in Hong Kong and the mainland. Matsushita Electric alleges HK Panasonic Appliances International is misleading the public and claims to have suffered loss and damages as a result.
