Surf's up!

HOLD ON to your hats, your journey into cyberspace is about to get all the more exciting thanks to the relaunch of our new-look Young Post Web site next week.

Say goodbye to our old homepage and hello to a colourful and action-packed site. Looking cool with its slick new design, the homepage will feature a daily news story from Young Post to help you keep up with all the important issues, news and fun you may need.

Voice your opinions on important youth issues in our Young Post Poll and don't miss the chance to expand your vocabulary with the Word of the Day.

The News Zone will be bursting with opportunities to improve your English skills and with things to read and write. Interesting reading awaits each week with a feature story from South China Morning Post.

For budding reporters or journalists - or if you just want to practise your writing skills - here's your chance to show your talent in the Your Young Post section. Write a story on anything that interests you and the best one will be posted on the site, along with the author's photo byline for all to see.

The News and Views section will remain, so you can offer your opinions on an issue-based story we select from Young Post. The Picture Gallery will continue to be packed with great snapshots.

And there will be loads more fun too, in the Activity Zone. Our competition section will continue to provide fabulous prizes for all the lucky winners.

Look out for our new competitions. Prizes include Swindon books and book vouchers, amusement park tickets and DVDs on top of CDs, movie tickets, T-shirts, magazines, computer games plus many more prizes each week.

Don't miss our brilliant new games section. Have a go at the Harry Potter word puzzles, gorilla games and lots more, thanks to the Hong Kong Education City Web site.

Keep up with the latest films each week in the film section and if you have a favourite recipe, here's your chance to share it with everyone. Just e-mail us your favourite food or drink recipe, clear instructions and your photo.

Read Me is the bulletin board where you can get the latest updates on interesting events, competitions and study tips.

Continue to have your say on all the topics in the Communication Zone, from school, to films, music, relationships and current affairs. Suggest your own discussion topics too. Our Letters Zone remains the same so keep writing to us about anything you wish. The letters make a great read. Also improve your English skills by trying out our HKCEE, A-level and sentence-matching exercises each week and use the Archive Zone to find old stories to help with homework.

And tell your teachers we haven't forgotten them. There is a special Teaching Zone which offers teaching plans using Young Post, for subscribers.

A weekly newsletter will be sent to teachers to let them know all about what's coming up in Young Post and Education Post, the education section of SCMP.

Log on to ypost.scmp.com for a whole new world of cool competitions, games, information and English learning.
