LIVE MUSIC

Pong Nan, the singer-songwriter-pianist and his band will perform songs from his new album, The Unadorable Pong Nan, at the Fringe Club on Friday at 10.30pm.

The versatile musician started his career by uploading his songs onto the internet and performing at the Fringe Club four years ago.

He was signed by Sony Music last year and released his debut album this spring. It features an original selection of music ranging from acoustic ballads to pop rock music.

For Friday's performance, he will team up with his new backup band comprising Stephane Wong on drums, C.M. Lee on bass and Anthony Lee on guitar.

Tickets cost $120 and include one free drink. No advance tickets are available, so arrive early to get a seat. More information at 2521 7251.

CONTEMPORARY DANCE

As the Wind Blows is a contemporary dance performance which poses thought-provoking questions.

Presented by Theatre Nature, the performance explores the nature of reality through lyrical dance movement.

The show will be performed on Friday and Saturday at 8pm in the Fringe Club's O2 Theatre.

PAINTING EXHIBITION

An exhibition called Influenza - Escaping from Flu showcases paintings by budding artists from the Art Club of Tang King Po School.

The works express their thoughts and feelings about the Sars outbreak and bird flu.

The paintings are on display at the Experimental Gallery of Hong Kong Arts Centre until Sunday.

Admission is free, and the gallery is open from 10am to 6.30pm.
