SCMP Reporter

The Academy is a new drama which starts today on TVB Jade at 9pm, from Monday to Friday. There are 32 episodes. Every Monday, we will publish the synopses of the week's episodes.

Episode 1 (April 11)

Man accuses  Sing of  destroying his family because Sing is dating Ting.

Man wants revenge and drags his friend Keung to join the Police Academy together with him.

Man is also trying hard to  bring his parents back together again.

Ting, who owns an interior design firm, is worried about her poor business.

Sing helps her negotiate with a contractor and lends her money.

Ting is grateful  and tells  Man that she will not get back together with his father.

Man passes the police fitness test. Sing promises Man  that he will leave Ting if he graduates from the Police Academy and wins the Silver Whistle Award.

Episode 2 (April 12)

Man and Lai see someone stealing a handset  in a mobile phone shop.

Man arrests the culprit, Ming. Fa is worried as she sees her twin brother apprehended.

Man testifies against Ming who is sentenced to three months' jail.

Man and Keung are admitted

to Sing and Kwan's class in the police academy.

Episode 3 (April 13)

The new cadets receive their uniforms and have to get a haircut. Some female cadets cry over their short hair.

After meeting her students, Kwan thinks that Kiu is over-protective of himself, while  Lam is so spoiled that she might not be able to withstand the tough training.

She is also aware that Man has accused Sing of treating him unfairly.

Episode 4 (April 14)

Man is pleased to see Fa working at the academy's canteen. Fa steals Man's uniform so that he will be punished.

Man puts the wrong date on his leave form and fails to get the weekend off.

He calls home and is shocked to learn that Ting passed out earlier and has been admitted to hospital.

He breaks the rules and leaves the academy to visit her.

Episode 5 (April 15)

Man rushes to the hospital and learns that Ting is improving.

Sing pleads with Leung to be lenient with Man for taking unauthorised leave. Man  only receives a warning letter, but he thinks it is Kwan who helped him.
