Police investigating murder of man in New Territories

Updated at 6.25pm: Police are investigating a murder in which a man was killed in Lok Ma Chau in the New Territories on Wednesday morning.

The spokesman said police officers received a report from a 57-year-old man who said he had found the man lying unconscious under a bed inside a hut in Shek Wu Wai San Tsuen.

The man had received injuries to his forehead, rear brain, the corner of his left eye and his shoulder. He was certified dead at the scene by ambulancemen.

His identity has yet to be confirmed - as no identification documents were found, the spokesman said.

A post-mortem of the deceased would be conducted on Thursday.

Investigations by Regional Crime Unit, New Territories North, were proceeding on Wednesday afternoon.
