What else did you want to be - or would like to become? Thought I might have become a miniature Hugh McIlvanney in the football journalism field, a sort of supporter with a typewriter.

When do you lie? At lunch time - I had three bottles.

What talent would you like to possess? The talent to make the world a better place for the less fortunate.

If you could come back as anyone or anything, who or what would you be? Bad goalkeepers have been the national trait of Scottish football, so it would be nice to come back as Lev 'Mac' Yashin and win the World Cup for Scotland.

What decision are you putting off at the moment? Coming back as a goalkeeper.

With which person, historical or living, would you like to have a relaxed dinner? John Wayne; we could discuss some of the great old westerns and the characters who appeared in them; obviously there would be guns on the table.

Are/were you closer to your mother or your father? A close one this; my father bought my football kit and my mother washed it.

What do you wear to sleep in? My Robin Parke fan club T-shirt and Lawrence Wadey designer underwear.

What do you dream about? Fictitious things like Newcastle United winning the English Premier League and Hong Lok Yuen's resident Geordie, John Scott, captaining them.

What really irritates you in other people? Those who watch old videos of England beating Scotland 9-3.

Is there a single possession that you value above everything else? My MacGregor graphite four iron.

Which era would you like to live in if you could go back in time? The American west after reading Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee.

What is your current state of mind? Compos mentis, I hope.

How would you like to be remembered? On the football field playing for the Hong Kong people.
