General information

The four-storey  museum occupies  12,000 square metres while its exhibition halls cover a total floor area of 6,500 square metres.  There are about 500 exhibits, including many that visitors can touch.

Admission fee

Standard: $25 (30 per cent discount for purchase of 20 or more tickets for a same-day visit)

Concessionary: $12.50 (applicable to full-time students, people with disabilities and  those aged 60 or above)

Museum weekly pass (full year): $30

Museum family pass (full year): $200 (for a maximum of four persons in a family)

Museum individual pass (full/half year): $100/$50

Museum concessionary pass (full/half year): $50/$25 (applicable to full-time students, people with disabilities and senior citizens)

Free admission on Wednesday

Opening hours

1pm-9pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday;

10am-9pm on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

Closed on Thursday (except public holidays) and the first two days of the Lunar New Year.

Closes at 5pm on Christmas Eve and Lunar New Year's Eve.

Special programmes

The museum's  predominantly interactive exhibits illustrate scientific principles and the use of technology  in everyday life. A series of  activities are also provided, including  lectures,  movies, fun  experiments and  day camps, all related to science, as well as computer courses.
