Trainers are big business. Aside from regular collections, brands issue a seemingly endless supply

of limited editions and special styles. Adidas is adding another element to the mix with its mi colour collection, which allows buyers to customise running shoes or football boots. Three styles are available: for football, the Predator Absolute (below right; HK$1,390 to HK$1,900), with three different outsoles; and for running, the Supernova (HK$1,250) and Adizero (above right; HK$1,150 to HK$1,250). Customers receive a certificate after designing their shoes and can expect to wait up to 28 days before they arrive. There are plans to extend the service to basketball and tennis styles next year.
