Is it a personal digital assistant or a mobile phone? PDA vendor O2's jet-black Xda Stealth has further blurred the line between those two handheld devices.

With Asia's strong text-messaging community as its target market, the hybrid Xda Stealth has  enhanced the typical pen-based PDA format  with the addition of a sleek slider design with alpha-numeric keypad, emulating the appearance of Samsung and Nokia slider phones.

Measuring 11mm by 53mm by 22.5mm and weighing 140 grams, it comes with a 2.4-inch touch-screen liquid crystal display, 192 megabytes onboard memory, 416-megahertz processor, Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system with Messaging and Security Feature Pack, Office programs for Windows Mobile, Wi-fi and Bluetooth connections, and tri-band GSM and GPRS network access.

It also offers superb battery life, with a stand-by time of 150 hours and talk time of up to 4.5 hours for each full charge.

The Xda Stealth costs HK$4,680, including a one-year warranty.
