Selesner makes her own waves

Lisa Selesner may be known as the model girlfriend of actor Daniel Wu Yin-cho, but since details surfaced recently about her dating Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody 10 years ago and her wealthy family background, she has made it into the headlines for more than just her relationship.

'My stepfather [Gary Selesner] is the president of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas,' she said. 'I grew up in the gambling industry since my parents have been in the casino business for a long, long time.'

Selesner (below) said she was never taught how to gamble and nor has she any interest in learning. 'Watching people gamble is exciting, but I have seen many people lose their money.'

Her faith may have helped to keep her away from the tables. 'I'm Jewish and you know how Jewish people feel about their money - I'd like to keep it,' she said with a laugh.

'My parents have never pressured me to get into the family business, nor have I ever been pressured about my job.

'I left home and started travelling when I was 16 and all they said to me was, 'Have fun, but be safe'. I think now my parents know that not giving me a hard time was a good thing because I've found my own success in Asia.'
