Finance director sought for telecoms company

Following the merger between Asia Netcom and Pacific Internet, Pacnet has become one of Asia's leading telecommunications service providers. The company is looking for a director of finance to join its Hong Kong office.

This is a senior position which requires commercial and product management of the corporate pricing team in the Asia-Pacific region, the United States and Europe.

A minimum of 10 years' experience in international telecoms, internet and application service provision or web-hosting is a must. The director will handle tasks such as budgeting, tracking, forecasting and leading the revenue assurance team to ensure prompt and quality revenue recognition in compliance with corporate policy and the generally accepted accounting principles in the United States.

The applicant must also be a qualified accountant and have a master's in business administration or a master's in accounting and finance.

Strong management skills with several years in leadership positions is preferred.

Knowledge of financial modelling and project valuation would help the candidate's involvement in corporate strategic initiatives and reviewing financial clauses in contracts.
