Neighbour held over flat fire

Police arrested a woman, 45, on suspicion of setting alight the door curtain of her neighbour's unit at Ap Lei Chau Estate yesterday. The fire had gone out before a security guard discovered burn marks on the curtain at about 10am.

Drivers hurt as trucks collide

Two drivers suffered minor injuries when their dump trucks collided in the New Territories-bound lane of Tuen Mun Road near Sham Tseng at about 9am. Both passed breath tests. In a separate case, a 24-year-old was injured when she was hit by a taxi in Ho Man Tin at 8.20am.

Van topples into flower bed

A driver escaped serious injury when his van crashed into a flower bed and toppled over at the junction of Gascoigne Road and Chatham Road South, Yau Ma Tei, at 2.40am.

Brother arrested after assault

A man, 26, was arrested after his 21-year-old brother was assaulted in their unit at Wu King Estate in Tuen Mun at 12.51am.
