Allied in Taiwan venture

ALLIED Industries International has established a joint venture with Taiwan's Trump Chemical Corp to develop the trading and marketing of specialty chemicals in China.

The joint-venture company, Allied Trump, which is 51 per cent owned by Allied Industries, will have initial capital of $8 million.

''This joint venture is a further development of Allied Industries' chemical business,'' said Gordon Chen, executive director of Allied Industries.

He said the group's intimate knowledge of the chemical market in China and Trump Chemical's experience and capabilities in providing reliable supply and competent technical services would ensure the success of the joint venture.

Trump Chemical represents a number of multinational chemical companies in Taiwan.
