Long run

I REFER to the letter of Ms Kathy Kingston (South China Morning Post, August 17), criticising the TVB tune that never changes. If my memory serves me correctly, this tune has been played ever since TVB launched CBS Evening News on March 1, 1990. I am another viewer who would like to see this tune changed.

TVB claims proudly the skill with which it attracts viewers. With such skills at its disposal, it should not be too difficult for the station to make this change.
