Xinhua: CPPCC official keeps a wife, four concubines, and six kids in his massive Liaoning estate

Today's officials behaving illegally shocker comes from Li Qingshan, a member of the CPPCC Liaoning Provincial Committee who stands accused of fathering six kids with five different women.

Li's large family was "reported" online recently and got picked up by Xinhua last night.

In addition to accusations of criminal activity, the online posts say Li currently keeps a wife and four mistresses (one of whom is supposedly now pregnant and Li intends to marry soon) housed in a massive compound in Jinzhou netizens claim to have staked out in the photo above.

Quoting a marriage registry official, Xinhua says Li has been married three times, from May 5 to August 9, 1998, August 12, 1998, to February 28, 2011, and March 3, 2011, until January 24 this year.

Aside from his CPPCC post, Li also serves a vice-chairman of the Jinzhou municipal All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.

Jinzhou family planning authorities told Xinhua Li will be fined, but declined to confirm the number of children he has. Meanwhile, local police say they've begun investigating accusations Li owns a number of firearms and is involved in organised crime.

When Xinhua tracked him down, Li denied the weapons possession and mafia connection accusations and admitted to having just four children, only two of which he says were born in violation of family planning restrictions.

When asked about his current relationship status, Li said he's single at the moment.
